From the brief we were given this was the final design outcome, using a thin Terracotta plate and an HDPE housing unit we have developed a filter that will allow 5/6 liters of un-clean water to be filtered per hour. We wanted to create a simple solution that could easily be installed into the client's home, this should be something minimal and shouldn't impact their space. So we designed this system using minimal plastic, giving the user a choice of where it would be installed and how they store the filtered water. The total unit cost is $29 Australian Dollars, or £16.40 so this could also be offered to charitable organizations due to the low market price.
